Saab 900i Convertible Refurbishment
Saab 900i Convertible/Cabriolet going through a refurbishment in preparation for our Classic Car Sales.
On arrival the 1992 2-door Saab had mould across the boot, and also on the hood.
Once in our Classic Car Workshop, the badly faded factory Talladega Red was rejuvenated using Mika Polar Star Polish. A Mirka Deos Orbital sander/polishing machine was used to apply the polish during the mopping process.
The engine which is a naturally aspirated petrol 2 litre 16-valve, has been taken out. The 5-speed manual gearbox has been removed from the engine, reconditioned and refitted. As a matter of course the pinion bearings will be replaced.
The rear break lines have been replaced with new. The wheel arches have been repaired of rust, been prepped and primed.
During the rejuvenating of the paintwork, a few slight issues arose around the area of the wheel arches. The bodywork was prepared for a respray, and another polish.
