Classic Mini

In 1981 I first bought a classic Mini, It was actually a classic Mini van. Needless to say, spending the sum of £25 was a starting point. It seems these days you can spend £3-5,000 and be at the same starting point. This is due to one or two factors; inflation or popularity of the Mini marque. I think it is popularity and the fact that certain TV programmes lead the proud owner to believe that they are going to achieve their Classic Mini Restoration on a very small budget. This, of course, can be done if you are happy to have someone working on a low budget. I guess you get what you pay for.

Another fact is that low mileage is no guarantee in most cases that rust hasn’t taken hold of a classic Mini. There seems to be two types of purchase for a classic Mini – one needing restoration, the other having been restored. At 2Refinish we can offer restoration for that very rusty Mini. We also have Classic Minis for sale, having been through our very own workshop. We are always looking for classic Minis to re-sell.
